Mike also relocated the filler neck and door inside the rear fender well. Mike also went back over the previous bodywork such as the door handles, antenna and hook squirters, to make sure they were nice and clean. BYC also repaired the cab where the bed had hit it in the accident with the semi. Bard Yard Customs went a few steps further in making sure Brandt's truck was in tip-top shape for the new show season. Mike removed the old 4-link and installed a reversed triangulated Pete And Jake's 4-link in its place.

Mike then moved the shocks out to reduce body sway. Finishing things out underneath the truck, Mike added some round tubing to the insides of the rear fenders to give them added strength along with more support for the rear rockers. With this going on, Brandt had already removed his interior pieces and dropped them off in the capable hands of Josh Handman at Leather Trim Unlimited. Josh and Tim applied gray and blue tweed to every inch of Brandt's interior.
