Having a feel for his feet flat on the ground, Tom would begin working the suspension of his new project in order to get rid of that un-necessary air under the body. First off the front and rear frame rails would be cut out and reworked with 2x3 box tubing to ensure that he would be able to get the maximum low. Next a set of 3-inch Bell-Tech lowered I-beams would be installed to help bring the front down. The rear would be ditched of the leafs and in their place would be a chrome TCI 4-link and Doertsch Tech shocks.

This wasn't low enough for Toms taste, as of yet, so Tom would then perform a 3-½ inch body drop. With the body down to a now much improved level, the rear would receive a set of 2500 lbs Firestone bags along with a set of 2600 lbs Firestone bags up front to help get the body up off the ground. Making sure the bags get the necessary air, four ½ inch Parker electric valves with ½ inch air line would be installed through out. Making room for the 17 inch Alba Reflections wrapped in Eagle Goodyear tires upfront, the battery would need to be relocated in the cab under the speaker box.
