Visions Show
After a long weekend in Tennessee a short drive to Washington would sound like a nice change of pace. Well as I've come to find out the past year, flying is soooo much easier. So starting the weekend out with a change of plans would leave me time to chill and hang out with my friends of Visions mini's and compacts of Spokane Washington. With Jack in hand, the night would be one of pure enjoyment.
After being picked up from the airport and dropping my things off at the hotel, it was time to head to Brian from Visions, home where the club would gather together for a BBQ and do some drinking. As people started to arrive the fun was starting to begin. There was plenty of drinking to be done and the BBQ was busy providing good eats. With a pool up, some water basketball was on its way along with some whiffle ball off in the corner. While the alcohol was disappearing, it was time to head to a location of a night gathering off of their local cruise strip. While there I checked out a few rides that I figured would show up at the show in the morning and managed to have some fun with the locals. After hitting the cruise for a few times, it was time to be dropped off at the hotel to prepare for the show Saturday morning.
As morning approached it was time to down a quick pot of coffee and start my job of covering the show. On my arrival I noticed that my boys from Magical minis of Salem Oregon had already arrived and set up their rides. Losing one ride on the way down to a cracked tranny, they had to wait for a flat bed to pick it up and bring it the rest of the way. Needless to say they were all tired but still up to their goofy nature. Rumor has it they were riding mini bikes down the escalators of the local mall.
As the sun pounded on everyone I proceeded to take pictures of the rides at the show and to enjoy my time away from home. There where plenty of activities going on along with the lowest contest which was won by a Full-size Chevy Ex-cab owned by Kristy of Magical Minis. The long distance was won by a group from Canada who made the trip from up north to check things out.
Although I didn't stay the whole weekend, next year I will make it a point to stay the entire weekend and enjoy what they have to offer. It was a killer one day show and I'm sure next years will be even better! I'd like to thank the crew of Visions minis and compacts for all their help and keeping me entertained.
