Rick's three-year journey began after picking up his S-10 and going right to work getting it to the standards that he desired. S-10's do not come from the factory with that super clean look that Rick had in mind, so the crew at Vicksburg Body in Vickburg, Mississippi were called upon to change that. First, all of the unnecessary items were removed from the truck, including the antenna, squirters, tailgate handle and door handles. The turn signals and tag holes in the bumper and air dam were also shaved and removed.

In the rear, a Sir Michaels steel roll pan took the place of the factory bumper and a custom tag was welded in to match the body line of Rick's S-10. The under side of Rick's hood was also finished out and custom strut supports were created and installed. Ronnie Brown at Vicksburg Body next went to work laying down coat after coat of a custom blend of Sikkens Dodge Viper Gunmetal Grey paint over the entire S-10. Barely giving Rick's S-10 time enough to dry, Rick finished the job off by installing a color-matched Chevy Blazer speed grille and polished Bow-Tie in the front, along with 1997 Chevy Blazer composite headlights and custom clear lenses, in which he removed the orange inserts from. SS rear view mirrors were also color matched and installed. Last but not least, the bed of Rick's S-10 got its clean look from Line-X spray in bed liner, which was generously applied.
