Its all about the Green
In this day and age of the minitrucker, Matt Long from Union City, TN had something a little different in mind. After all, the body dropped mini was becoming a common thing. With that in mind, Matt decided to purchase a 1998 four door GMC Jimmy. Having seen many Blazers and Jimmys around shows that were badass, he felt it was time to take it to a different level.
After bringing Matt’s new found project home, he began by shaving the body. The first things to go were the door handles, antenna, roof rack, taillights, rear wiper along with the tailgate button. Then, to clean up the rear end of the Jimmy, a set of S-10 lower quarter panels were sectioned and welded on. To bring the rear to a close, a custom fabricated rollpan was made and welded in. The next step in Matt’s plans was to relocate the gas filler door behind the rear seat. After that, a Street Scene speed grille, custom ‘98 GMC Jimmy headlights and GMC Envoy front bumper was added. Locating LEDs behind the rear glass for taillights kept things legal. After everything was shaved, it was time to take it to JR’s Body Shop in South Fulton, TN to be sprayed Honda Del Sol green.
