With John knowing that in this world of custom rides, a low appearance on big rims would be a must he would get things started. Starting with the front of the S-10, the frame rails would need to be notched to allow a-arm clearance for low level dragging at any speed.

The shocks would then be relocated and replaced with a set of Beltech Nitro-drop shocks. Giving a couple more inches of low, John would decide to ditch the stock spindles in favor of a set of Beltech 2-inch drop spindles. Now down with mother earth, John would get some lift, the use of 2500lb Firestone bags would be mounted up with MIC brackets.

The front now down at a comfortable level, it was time to tackle the rear suspension. The rear frame had been sectioned and equipped with a 6-inch step notched allowing more axle travel at low levels. Helping give some more room at lower levels a custom rear cross member was also installed. Next John would install KP-Components Parallel chrome 4-link replacing the stock leaf set up and also utilizing it as a mild cantilever setup to the rear of the axle. Providing the lift would be a set of 2600 Firestone bags accompanied by a set of Monroe shocks for a smooth ride.

The complete air set up is functional thanks to ½-inch D.O.T. air line, ½-inch SMC electric valves, MIC gauges, 3 5-gallon air tanks and an Air Lift engine driven compressor.
