Howard also ditched the stock hood for a fiberglass Cobra R model. With the bodywork complete, the Focus was covered in a generous coat of Sangria Red from Dupont, before custom graphics were laid down using several colors such as Eclipse Platinum Silver, S.I. Blue and many other custom blended color. Before the clear coat could be applied, flames were laid down using Prowler Purple.

Howard knew that in order to be noticed, he had to give his Focus an altitude adjustment as well. In the front, Howard installed air struts and in the rear, Howard built custom brackets, which utilize Firestone 2500lb bags.   The entire system is lightning quick thanks to Parker 3/8" electric fast valves and 3/8" line.
