Since Joe wanted a lot of go with his show, he opted for a 124” S&S motor. To give it a little extra push Joe had Combs set the motor up with a Magna Charger supercharger for maximum power. The cases, flywheels, rods, pistons, cylinders, heads, and cam would all be from S&S. A Mikuni Dual 45mm carb was installed. A Crane HI-4 ignition insures the quick start of the bike. Combs Custom Cycles pipes give Joes bike the sound he wanted. A 04 Baker six speed trans provides the smooth gear changing to keep Joes bike screaming down the road.
Last it was time for wheels and suspension. Because Joe knows how crucial the stance of your bike is, he opted for the Trikky Air Ride setup. This setup allows Joe to go from ride hit, to dumped with the flick of a switch. For wheels Joe went with A combs Custom Cycles 21” wheel up front, and a Combs wheel out back. Next would be the rubber that would keep Joe’s bike glued to the ride. Because Metzeler is one of the top rated companies on the market, it is no wonder why Combs would wrap the wheels with this tire. The only question would be does size of the tire really matter? With Joe the answer was yes, and so that’s how the 280 Metzeler rear tire came to be on his bike. The big rear tire really gives the bike the aggressive look that he wanted.
