Step 10 Here is your dash with the surround removed. Pull the four 7mm screws holding the temperature control panel in. Step 11 Then there are four more 7mm screws securing the radio cluster. Step 12 Pull the radio out and disconnect the antenna wire. If you have an aftermarket radio, then you most likely have the GM antenna adaptor. This piece is no longer needed, so take it off and sell it to your buddy.

Step 13 Move into the passenger compartment, and locate where the antenna comes into the vehicle. It will be right under the top edge of the carpet. You will have to remove the lower dash cover that is right above it, and that is four more 7mm screws. Step 14 Now that the lower dash is off, we can see what we are doing. The antenna wire runs up the middle of the dashboard and is held in place by 2 clips. The first is in sight and removed easily. Step 15 The second, however, is not visible, so you can take the whole dash out of your truck, or pull upward on the antenna wire sharply. Doing so dislodges the clip and the wire is free. DO NOT remove it at this time.
