Step 8 Reinstall the brake calliper bracket and brake calliper. We highly recommend using new brake pads. Step 9 Install your front wheels using the supplied wheel studs torque to vehicle manufacturer specifications. Now repeat steps 4 through 9 to the other side if you have not already done so. Step 10 Remove the rear wheels. Drain the gear oil out of the rear end. Disconnect the brake lines from the wheel cylinders and disassemble the brakes remembering where all parts go. Now remove the axles, the brake backing plate will come off with the axle assembly. Now you will need to make a quick trip to the Local Mazda dealer or qualified mechanic shop. Have them press off the bearing assembly and remove the wheel studs. Then reinstall the bearings and wheel studs on the new 5 bolt axles. Be sure to keep the old axles as they can be returned for a credit. Use can now take a lunch break, by the time you return the axles should be complete.

Step 11 Installation of the 5 bolt axles is the reverse of removal of the old 6 bolt axles. Reinstall all of the brake components to their original location, and reconnect the brake lines. Using the supplied drill gauge, place it on the brake drum and drill the new holes in both drums. Now you will want to bleed the brakes and add some new gear oil to the rear end. Be sure to clean off any brake fluid with brake cleaner so it does not stain your new wheels! Step 12: Now install the rear wheel and torque to vehicle manufacturer specifications. Lower the vehicle to the ground and you are done.
