When most on the east coast are dealing with temperatures below freezing and snow on their ground, Eddy Cebreco and his crew from Xtreme Lowz in Florida get busy every year hosting Blood Drag, a two-day, bikini clad spectacular in the dead of winter. With Art Of Noize backing the show, Eddy and his crew threw another great show in 2003, with more rides, bigger crowds and even more hot babes than before. As always, I got started early by heading down a few days early to catch up on my South Florida gossip. Upon arrival, the boys wasted no time taking me to my two favorite places - Hooters and the strip club. As always, the lovely South Florida hotties made me feel welcomes to their state as did my entire crew. It was great to be home. As the days approached and everyone started arriving from out of state, I realized quickly that this year was going to be bigger than ever. When the day of the show finally arrived, it was more than easy to see. The South Florida Fairgrounds was packed! I quickly recognized rides from as far away as New York. Guess I wasn't the only one enjoying a change in climate!Blood Drag has always been known for not being just another boring show. Saturday afternoon, show promoter Eddy Cebreco decided that things were getting too quiet and a last minute bikini contest was in order. The hot day got even hotter as several of Florida's finest strutted their stuff at a chance to win cash and prizes. You could also check out the Db Drag competition going on, as many ran their rides through the meters, all trying to win trophies and money by busting ear drums with SPL. If you didn't care about any event at all, it didn't matter. With nearly 1,000 rides, Blood Drag had quality rides to offer just about anyone. Saturday night everyone cleaned up from the long hot day and did a host of things, including the Blood Drag after party, which was held at Silhouettes, a popular strip club in West Palm Beach. The place was packed and the girls were hot. The club even hosted several crowd-interactive games, in which females from different clubs attending got down and dirty on stage for allowances for drinks at the club. Many were on hand to represent.

If strip clubs wasn't your thing, there was plenty of partying to be had at the host hotels, and as always, the yearly dragfest competition located on the main drag in front of the host hotel, the Days Inn. The crowds watched as truck after truck laid out their beauties and filled the South Florida night with showers of sparks. The show went on for hours before everyone headed to bed in preparation for Sunday.Sunday brought more sunshine and music. The day got started off with one of West Palm's locals showing his flowing skills on the microphone. The crowd enjoyed the local rap favorite before two bands came out and performed. Twitch and Prior Life got the blood flowing with their hard-edged music. I even noticed a few people in the crowd moving their heads to the rhythms and beats. After the bands were finished, the stage was prepared once again for the official Blood Drag bikini contest. Before I began talking about this section, let me apologize for not having the photos from Sunday's bikini contest available. Photos were taken, but problems out of our control kept us from being able to bring them to you. We apologize for the 200 missing bikini contest pics from Sunday. The Sunday bikini contest brought out 16 hot girls, all giving it their all in an attempt to win the $1500 cash and prize giveaway. After everything was said and done, Merisal from West Palm Beach walked away with 1st place and a grip of money. The crowd seemed more than happy with the decision. After the bikini contest, Eddy Cebreco and his crew started handing out trophies. After the last trophies were placed in the hands on their new owners, everyone packed up and headed home, worn out from the long weekend. Blood Drag has proven itself as a major event in the country in just a few short years. If you're looking for a new show to check out in the middle of winter, make the trek to West Palm Beach and check out Blood Drag. You will be happy that you did.For more information on Blood Drag 2004 or if you're in need of someone to help promote a show that you are planning, give Eddy Cebreco a call at 561-436-8217 or check out the website http://www.BloodDrag.comBy Bobby Stewart
