Believe it or not the car was totally gutted the week before HeatWave 2001. Larry had a windshield put in and installed the rear quarter glasses. He sprayed most all of the items under the hood. He also sanded and resprayed all the painted interior pieces. Larry spent days underneath it cleaning.

   Up until the Saturday morning of HeatWave, Larry had never driven the truck. He worked all night Friday and felt it was ready. his family spent that night polishing the 18x7 and 19x8 Budnik "scissors" billet wheels. Larry got ready to bolt the wheels on and found out that one was flat.
