How do you make the perfect show cocktail? One part Club, Vertically Challenged, one part, sick rides from TX, two parts, hot chicks. Now you have the 3rd Annual Meltdown Custom Car & Truck Show held on May 15-16, 2005. Central Texas will never be same after the two-day weekend that mixed both wakeboard, Skateboards, Live Music and sik rides. P Events/Vertically Challenged had one thing in mind when they partnered with Pennzoil, Trucking Texas and Top Notch Performance, and that was to mix rides with bikinis. USA Bikini Team, SA Nightlife tattooed the show grounds with some of the hottest girls this side of I-10. The battery life of digital cameras went dead trying to capture all the bikinis at Meltdown.In addition to the landscape of customized rides, P Events attracted recording artists Electric Crush, Minister Feind, D-Railed and Tension Speak to blow the eardrums of show goers. Tension Speak was given the title of the official band of P Events. www.tensionspeak.com. Skydivers fell from the sky and one guy chased the goat on the island in the middle of the lake to get ejected temporarily before P Events could save him. A milk chugging contest brought out the best in club members and P Events handed out awards to participants that got moving violations over the weekend. P Events and Pennzoil awarded Joey Gonzalez of Maximum Altitude the Platinum Pennzoil award that included a lifetime supply of oil and recognition with the local media. Street Truck World ran away with the club participation award with over 20 entries for Meltdown. Brent Davis took away the best of show trophy and $100 cash for showing off the sickest ride at Meltdown. John Salas from Showtime Customs also designed and built a unique one of a kind Under Construction trophy that can be spotted for miles away. P Events awarded 100 trophies to participants in 40 classes. Bruce from VC had the “hard on” task of taking photos for P Events and gets all the credit for capturing as many bikinis as possible.
