I’ve had the pleasure of bringing some Island features back to the states these past couple of years, but this past year I was pleased to see the female influence into our scene on the USVI’s. For Shamila Banwane-Williams of St. Croix, USVI, the leap to keep up with the men was an impressive one. After purchasing her ’99 Honda Accord back in March of 2000, Shamila would take about 7 months to build. Although the project is not yet complete in Shamila’s eyes and with only a year of experience under her built you can see what a quick learner she is to the game.
