The Way I see it....
How ya'll is? It's September now, and as I write this, Labor Day has come and gone, thus marking the "unofficial" end of summer.... not that you can tell here in Texas, it's hot until November and then it cools down to more tolerable temperatures.
Just to let ya'll in on a little secret, this is being written on the 4th wind of a show weekend, namely Midnight Fantasies' LakeFront Tour '03. For the past few years, I have heard this was a show worth attending, and since everything fell into place for me to able to go, I found out this was the truth! There was a good turnout, the weather was actually damn good (I kept hearing about how it normally rains at this show...) and there was plenty to see and do in the vicinity of the show.
First thing I want to mention about this show was the fact that my good friends and fellow clubmates from EC's Florida and Alabama chapters were present and accounted for, as well as having representation from the Central Texas area also. This was an excellent opportunity to promote unity in the community and to discuss later show plans, such as who is planning on attending COOLDOWN 2K3 and other such matters that club chapters talk about.
Now for the eye-candy. If you know me, and a lot of you do, you know that my taste in vehicles leans toward the "dare to be different" category, so right off the bat, the person from Down II Earth with the Ram Charger, I have to give you mad fuckin props. That thing is going to set new standards just based on the fact that you chose to modify what most would consider an "undesirable" vehicle and you are making it into something that is just as radical as the more popular trucks.
The next one on my list was the Pro-Street Geo Tracker with the tunnel-rammed small block in it.... that little roller skate would probably tip over backwards if it weren't for the wheelie bars! Something else I noticed this weekend is the prevalence of early American iron making an insurgence on our scene...and I totally dig it! When was the last time you saw a '46 Ford pickup laying running boards and battery (you have to see it to get that..)??
Well now, I am steadily losing touch with reality as I writing this, so I must bid you a fond farewell, and let you know that Giggles "loves the 3 legged monkey. The three-legged monkey is good. hehehehehehehe".
Until next month, remember that there is no love like the zen Skwee Gee love and to keep your wheels spinnin' and the beavers grinnin', I'm owt!
