Once the interior and exterior were complete there only left one area that needed Johns attention and that was the engine bay. John knew the tired high mile factory 4.3 just wouldn't cut the bill so John sent the 4.3 to Pro Block in Memphis were it was bored and rebuilt with some extra ponies added. A comp cam was install and a polished Edelbrock intake was topped with a 500 cfm Edelbrock Carburetor.

A set of chrome valve covers, alternator and pulleys were added to the now clean motor. To ensure the proper spark a MSD 6 AL was incorporated into the mix. Now not only did the Blazer posses the show appeal it also posses the go appeal.

Johns passion for customs had now went from a thought and dream to reality. John knew that he now possessed one of the cleanest Blazers to hit the scene in years. The entire SSC crew knew that their Blazer was going to be just like its predecessor, the real Memphis Belle, unstoppable at any battle it faced. This Blazer had been tearing up the scene and taking home a mixture of first and best of show honors at every show it has attended.
