I sat on my front porch early Sunday morning waiting for my buddy to come pick me up. Knowing that Chuck is always late for everything, it gave me some time to sit and daydream about what my day was going to be like. To tell you the truth, I had no idea what kind of show Import War would be. Eventually Chuck arrived, late, but at least I didn't have to wake him up this time. Once we got on the PA turnpike headed towards Hershey, we began to see a number of Hondas and v-dubs traveling at high speeds. When we finally got to our destination I began to realize just how big this show was going to be. The line to register was spilled out of the parking lot and into the street, which was a perfect time to set some theme music for our arrival. Once we got in, Chuck began cleaning his car and I walked around taking pictures of the different rides. With over 600 cars registered and broken up into a shit load of different classes it made me wonder how they were going to judge in such a short amount of time. I quickly blew that thought off. I was just there to enjoy the day, take some pictures, and look at some models. There were a number of different vendors on hand including Meguiar's, Fox Marketing, Girlzspeed, and cashershighperformance.com to name a few. Some of the bigger clubs in attendance were Cloud 9 Customs, CNY Concepts, WR Team, and Club H2O.With the awards being handed out around 3:00 and the show getting wrapped up by 4:30, we had plenty of time to bull shit around the parking lot with Chuck's car and the video camera. After the usual blow-off valves and 3 wheelin imports were slowing down with the cruisin, it was time to head home. All in all, for a first annual show with this many participants in a one-day event, the Import War staff did a great job at handling everything. With the experience that they acquired this year, I think it'll make for an excellent show next year.-Kevin Botero S10KEV
