Next, Bell Tech 2" drop spindles were installed in place of the factories and 255C Firestone airbags were fit, allowing the necessary lift Les would need in front. In the rear, 1800lb tapered sleeve bags were installed, allow the rear to meet the new ride height level and Monroe gas shocks were installed at all four corners for a smooth ride. A five gallon air tank mounted to the frame serves as the air supply and MIC 3/8" manual valves allow the S-10 to raise in the blink of an eye.

With his S-10 laying closer to Earth, Les moved to the next step in the rebuild. He looked no further than his own backyard and contacted his father, Jimmy Carr, to handle the necessary body work that he desired. Jimmy performed the normal modifications including shaving the door handles and gas filler door.
