Just as I forecast last issue, it has been a busy month for the Focus. This month I’ve installed an intake, plug wires, a slider, and finally tossed some wheels on it. Follow along as we take this baby to the next level! PERFORMANCE Last month we talked a little bit about sponsorship. After writing my article I sat back and thought about all of the people who have helped me so far with parts, time, and effort, so I decided that I’m going to list some of those people and manufacturers each month at the end of my column. Since this is a web-based mag, all of these people listed will have a corresponding web site address or email address, so you can contact them if you have more questions. SLIDER INSTALL Did I mention yet that its been a busy month for the Focus? At the first of the month it was the intake and plug wires, next it’s the slider? Did I forget to mention that I ordered a 35X65” slider from Street Beat two months ago and it was time to put it in? Well the time finally came, and I cruised on down there with the Focus and my camera, ready for a tech article for SSM.

Step 1: Take a look at your car, realize it’s a 2000 Focus wagon with 7k on the odometer and a full warranty, take a breath, drink a beer and start cutting. Step 2: Cover the interior with plastic so as not to get metal shavings all over.
