One of the first things for Josh to accomplish would be to hook up his Pro Hopper hydraulics which were equipped with 2 pumps and accumulators to smooth out the ride. The set up was installed by the guys of Totally Polished. Next, Gary at IACCINO Fabrication in Van Nuys CA did the majority of the suspension mods to get the car to lay as low as it’s present state…..on the ground! While with Gary, the rear wheel wells were tubbed 2 ½ inches along with cutting the inner fenders and flaring them 2 inches. Next some notching of certain locations for the axles were needed to get the hatchback to lay out.

After the suspension mods were taken care of it was time to get busy on the soon to be new look of the body. The first and most obvious of items to go would be the door handles and moldings along with smoothing out he front bumper. Next on the list the original taillights were shaved and replaced with a set of Toyota Supra tails. To finish out the smooth rear, the original license plate box was shaved and relocated to the rear bumper and the Wings West spoiler was molded to the hatch.

To help finish out the front a billet grille from a Ford F-150 was used in the bumper. Other notables to this hatchback would be the 3-fold sliding ragtop, which was installed by Rick Bently of R-Customz. The next step would be to lay the Acrylic pure white paint to give the car the overall smooth look. After the paint a set of Denji projector headlights and blue window tint were installed. All bodywork and paint was performed by Glasser’s custom Metal work of Santa Clarita CA.

No that the body was looking good and the stance was set, Josh chose 17x7 ½ Neeper Mynx wrapped in 205/40/17’s to roll around on.
