Being I had never been to a Hot Import Nights before, when Bazooka Mobile Audio called and asked if they could use my car in their booth at the show in Charlotte, North Carolina, I figured I would check it out. I’m less than 2 hours away from where they held this show, so it wasn’t a bad drive. I had to work for a few hours that morning, but made it to the show in plenty of time for the Friday only set up. Once there and had the car clean and pulled into the show, it was time to help Brian from Bazooka set up the displays that were to be used for the show. After that was done and everything was set up, it was time to head back to the Hilton and hit the shower before heading out on the town. We made a trip across town to hit the mall for a minute and grab a bite to eat. Then it was time to head downtown and meet up with the guys from some of the companies in the Circuit City booth with me. We wound up club hopping until about 2am when we decided to head back to the hotel for a little shut eye.Being the show didn’t start until like 5pm, we had most of the day to do as we wished. Brian and me wound up running around town trying to find a battery charger for my car so I could run my system and neon for the entire show. After that it was time to pick up my wife from the hotel and grab a bite to eat before we headed off to the show. When we showed up to the show site, there was a line wrapped halfway around the building. I guess being this was the first HIN to make it to North Carolina, a lot of people finally got the chance to check one out. Being we had vender passes, we got to pass the crowd up and walk right into the show with no delay. After spending some time laughing at some of the guys we were with the night before for still having a hang over, it was time to get the car opened and everything turned on before the crowd started pouring in.Once the show was over we stayed around for another hour or so and helped all the guys in the booth tear things down and pack up their displays. I must admit, after hearing contradicting opinions about a HIN show, I had a blast at this one and will make it a point to hit one again. Hopefully next time ill be in a booth again!
