As we make the trip up to Spokane for Visions Mid-Summer Jam we try and enjoy the sites of the 6-hour drive through the Eastern Oregon and Southeast Washington desert. As we get close to rolling into Spokane we start passing rides from Western Washington, we knew we are getting close. As we enter Spokane we head to Eric and Brandy's house from Vision's for some drinking and hanging out. There were already a few clubs there getting there drink on and having a good ol' time. After a few glasses of jungle juice and people starting to get wore out, it was time to head over to Jason and Tanya's to get some sleep for the show. With getting to bed pretty late, we managed to roll out to the show about 11 to get some grub and get the show shot. Although this show isn't big in numbers it was still fun to hang out and get to know people in the scene in the Northwest. There were plenty of phat rides to check out and Visions kept everyone occupied with games and raffles all day long. With the sun beating down, many club members from around the Northwest brought out super soakers and enjoyed getting everyone wet. Usually this would annoy people but as hot as it was most welcomed the cold water. With the judging coming to an end in record time (Visions prouds themselves in not keeping those that drive 6+ hours waiting for awards.) People finished off watching the sound off competition along with checking out some more of the classy rides.I encourage those of you within' driving distance to check out Visions show in the future as they are a prime example of getting the Northwest to come together for a show. Although this is currently only a one day show, I'm sure with a grip of rides attending their upcoming shows that this could turn into a great 2 day event. Either way you will find me there kicking it with this great group of enthusiasts.By Garrick Arends
