With the Dakota originally going to be built as a daily dragger, Ryan would first get to work on the suspension. Beginning in the rear of the Dodge, Ryan would Box the rear frame rails and notch it utilizing ¾ inch steal. Now having room to roam, the factory leaf springs would be ditched for a mono leaf set up and airbags allowing the Dakota to rise as needed.

The front would undergo the same bag set up along with utilizing drop spindles to allow more travel with low levels. Helping with the ride, Ryan had installed a set of Monroe shocks front and rear.

Still not low enough Ryan felt it was time to start in on some cutting. After relocating the battery and cutting the inner fenders to allow room for the 17x7 inch wheels, it was time to give the Dakota the ultra low; a 2-3/4 inch body drop. With the body now laying it was time to work the exterior.

Having the suspension set up and over all stance set at a likeable low, Ryan began in on the exterior body confines. For starters the stock grill would be replaced with an APC grill.
