2. When did you realize that you had minitruckin in your blood? LM-In 1989 when I got sideswiped by a red Jetta... I used the money to shave, paint, put air shocks on, and notch the hell out of the 1989 standard cab Toyota I bought to replace my '71 Datsun. MF-The first time I cut myself with the sawzall GA-I realized my minitruckin blood back in '92 when I purchased my first truck and found I couldn't let it stay stock. The fever was too strong to fight! CC-At a show in 1988 at Traders Village, Grand Prairie, TX called the Raticule Rat tour '88 (I think) BF-When I helped my best friend drop his truck. 3. Do you remember the first truck, or person, that inspired you to build a ride? LM-here was this guy that went to Alta Loma High School with me back in 1985. I was a sophomore then and he was a senior. He had a bad ass midnight blue Chevy LUV. I bet if I saw that ride today I'd laugh my ass off, but it was the first cool mini I'd taken a liking to. Geez, now that I look back it had a velour interior, big ass windshield visor, reversed offset wheels, and flake paint and all...Gawd, I had bad taste in trucks back when I started out I guess... The first truck that made me want a full-blown show ride was Sky Body, a huge 4x2 on 44-inch tires Monster Hardbody. Then there was Mind Bender, an old 720 Nissan, and Useless -a monster mini 4x4, I can't leave out the Balls Out Mazda Cab Plus, or Pat Nichols' Ballistic standard cab Toyota, or the low rider Wrapped with Envy and too many others to list here.

MF-I took one look at Pat Nichol's Ballistic Toyota and it was all over! I was sucked in! GA-Not really.... haha CC-langely's '88 red blazer, but the guy who inspired me was a child hood friend Clay Youngblood.. BF-First truck that inspired me was a local guy with a Mazda truck on some Hydro's...he let me play with the switches and I was hooked!4.Who, or what, would YOU say has been instrumental in the advancement of our sport? LM-Anyone who's willing to go the extra mile to do something radically different to a mini-truck is instrumental in the advancement of our sport. MF-Good quality air and hydraulic suspension systems. Now that minis ride so good, people are traveling a lot further to new shows, which keeps things fresh and new. GA-I think people helping their fellow minitruckin enthusiasts has been the greatest advancement in the sport. If people don't get along and help one another out then the sport/way of life would collapse. CC- I would have to say all the magazines, the internet, and just truckers them self grabbing the ol' nut sack, and coming up with new and twisted mods and lifting the bar that much higher to compete. BF-People like Brian Jendro, Rob Rodel, Bill Carlton, Jody Hall, Todd Wilt, Courtney Halowell, Lance Martz, Mike Finnegan, Mike Self, ect ect..... Those people there have done so much for the sport by bringing the quality to a new level and raising the bar for building a dope ride.
