Starting with the suspension, Nelson contacted Eric Arrington and KUSTOMWERKS in Union City, TN. Eric, with the help of Matt Long, started by cutting the rear frame rails and adding a super “C” section utilizing tubing for the airbag brakets. A few springs were removed from the leaf spring pack, a flip kit was added and DJM shackles were bolted in place. Firestone 26C airbags were installed for lift. Monroe Sensetrac shocks keep things smooth in the rear. Up front, Bell Tech drop spindles were bolted on and again, Firestone 26C airbags were installed. Monroe shocks again were used to smooth out the bumps. For instant adjustability, KUSTOMWERKS installed large 3/8” airline with Eric’s own secret fast valves. With the press of the button on the custom console in the cab, Nelson’s dually could now go from laying frame to nose bleed quicker than you could blink.

At an all time low, Nelson just couldn’t leave well enough alone. Laying frame was nice, but laying body would be better. So Nelson again dropped his dually off to the pros at KUSTOMWERKS. Eric and Matt went back to work on Nelson’s dually by channeling the body a total of 3 5/8”. Nelson was the undisputed lowest vehicle in his town now. Moving to the exterior of the dually, Nelson new something had to be done to keep the outside of the truck head turning as his new and improved stance.
