Brandon LeBlanc had to move to Texas after the nasty flooding of the state of Louisiana’s southern portion. Keeping the show in the gator state was a must even though a lot of it was damaged. For many miles heading East down hwy 10 the area looked like a ghost town with no one in sight and many businesses completely ruined by the overwhelming water flow. Arriving in the city of Jennings everything was back to normal and the Louisiana Oil and Gas Park was packed with vendors, spectators and show participants. The nightlife was nothing short of eventful. Staying in the hotel that seemed to be owned by the members of Eksessiv made for a great weekend full of draggin, a lot of high quality vehicles, a few show virgin hazing incidents and a 12 am curfew enforced by the police. The Holiday inn one exit west was the overwhelming choice of the show participants where you could see the award winning rides parked around the almost full circle parking lot. Security was on hand to keep things in line but missed the infamous bottle incident with the Shrek as well as a few ironing board stunts. Other people put out fires that were non-existent and emptied beer bottles like there were no tomorrow. The party did not stop when the show started, rather it was redirected to the show grounds where memorials could be seen honoring the Jennings oil company started in September of 1901. Surrounding the manmade lake in a full circle were the show vehicles as broad as the imagination will allow. Having a vast amount of trees is a good thing for those seeking shade. Alas, the tourist information office located in the park houses a couple alligator pits for spectators to ogle over. When the awards were finished everyone began to pile out and the plans immediately were started for the next years show.
