For my first encounter to Biloxi, MS for Scrapin’ the Coast I’d be flown into Little Rock, AR to meet up with my RA guys there and drive the journey with them through the heated South. Upon my arrival I would meet up with everyone and Huppie from our PA chapter. Being the individuals that Huppie and I are, we decided to break in our Ar-Kansas guys in correctly. So we started off by the 2 of us drinking a 30 pack of Mickey’s during our BBQ, waited till everyone crashed out before getting a few hours of sleep before our journey to the Coast.As Friday morning arrived we’d meet up with everyone, grab some beer, McDonald’s and hit the road. After breakfast settled in and we were into Mississippi, Huppie and I would crawl out onto the toolbox of Jen and Wayne’s Crew cab dually and continue drinking while driving down the freeway for a period of about 6 beers or so each. Never new how hard it would be to drink beer in 75 mile an hour wind. Upon our arrival into Biloxi we’d get into our room and head to dinner and make our rounds the rest of the night before heading to bed around 5am to get some sleep before the show.As Saturday arrived we’d head to the show, meet up with all RA and do our rounds of talking before walking around the show to gather up some coverage. AS my first time at STC I was impressed with the quality of rides and the numbers within the grounds. There was plenty to do, plenty of shade to get out of the sun and plenty of bay to swim in if you were desperate enough. After the show was winding down we’d head back to the hotel to shower up and get ready for some grub and the nights activities.After eating up at Denny’s and hearing the race card pulled out time and time again followed by they uttered words “but everything taste better on a cracker” we’d head back to the hotel for some drinking. From there things get fuzzy except for a few parts and pieces like the following;

Where we walked out into the bay about 250 yards still knee deep in water…Getting kicked out of our pool about 3 times…Cops coming cause we were being to loud?Eating at the Waffle house with Spike Jones bitch! Sunday would typically be a calm day of relaxing and catching up from the previous nights. Well this Sunday was different as it was Huppie’s 25th birthday so it was our goal to drink 25 beers each in celebration. Lets just say we believe mission was accomplished and it made for a long drive back to Little Rock! Haha…I’d like to thank Brooks and Cootie for a place to crash and everyone else in RA for carting us around.By Garrick Arends
