Although this truck has always been easily recognized by its smooth body and unique green and black two tone paint scheme, it too was showing its age. One of the doors and the inner bed floor began to have serious cracks in the body filler, along with other blemishes from use over time. Although it hurt to tear into such a nice paint scheme, Mellon stripped the door and redid all of the metalwork to both straighten and greatly reduce the amount of filler in the door. Moving along to the bed floor, Mellon began finding other areas that needed attention as well. But beyond the body and suspension work, the interior on the truck remained immaculate. The dash and door panels are still remnants of the original “Evil Twin” paint scheme while the other interior panels were wrapped in medium graphite leather and suede by Mike Sutton in Long Beach, California. Even more impressive is the ground-pounding system installed b y Ghetto Bob at 702 Motoring. The custom fiberglass box and floating center console house four 10” Orion subs while the custom fiberglass amp rack houses the Orion amplifiers. Two HE800 Kinetik Audio Powercells provide the juice to keep this system pounding.

However, like many other people in this day and age, the economy had gotten the better of Mellon and he was forced to sell the truck before he could finish it. Having been shot back in March of 2009 and sold just months later, Mellon is still in contact with both the original owner and its new owner. But the story of this truck continues as the new owner is currently selling the truck as well, having not even been able to touch the truck since owning it. Still surviving despite all of the owners and tornados that this truck as gone through, Mellon would love to buy the truck back if money allows, but until then the truck remains for sale, waiting for the day when another person comes along with a vision and some cash to finally get her back on the road.
