GMC has always been known for building engines with lots of ponies so Brooks decided to leave the stock 5.3 liter V-8 as is for now. The only items of business was to replace the stock restrictive exhaust with that of a MagnaFlow exhaust cat back setup and use a Power Programmer to teach the stock computer it had more to give. A Street Performance throttle body spacer was installed along with an AirRaid filter charger. Not liking the mushy shifting that the GMC possessed Brooks had a Fairbanks shift kit installed for a more positive shifting feel.

  Now that Brooks has built the Denali to this level you would think he would stop here but after talking to Brooks I assure you he has only just begun.
