People often ask me if I enjoy what I do for a living. Well this may be a dumb question, but ones treasure could be another ones garbage. I mean I have to write articles month in month out and edit others. If it wasn't for spell check I'd look pretty dumb with most of my articles (Not to say that I don't anyway). So after the articles are all ready then it's time to lay out the issue in a manner which I find fit with our current content. Many down falls there are, yes sir-e. I have to talk with models from time to time, providing you with some beautiful ladies to grace the site. Not only that, but I have to travel almost every weekend out of state and cover shows and meet new people and begin lasting friendships. Talk about a tough job that is. But hey, the way I look at it is someone has to do it, so why not me? Well although this job is one that I thought I would only be able to dream about, it can be a lot of work. It's not easy to cover a show, look for features, look for a model to do with the features and then talk to everyone that cross's your path having questions or just providing praise, otherwise known as "head swelling information". I've totally enjoyed every minute of the magazine and the people I've met through the past 13 months. I leave every show with more friends and moments that will remain with me forever (did you just grab my ass?). Well why am I talking about me? Probably because I'm sitting in the Phoenix airport on a 2 hour lay over bored out of my mind, or it is just a round about way thanking everyone who recognizes the work that everyone on our SSM staff does to provide content month in month out. We are no different then any one of you, we love customizing rides, going to shows and partying. This isn't only our magazine, but it belongs to each and every one of you, as if it wasn't for your desire for competition the quality of rides wouldn't increase from year to year.

This month we are featuring a dually built by one of the nicest guys in our industry. A true player in the scene he knows what will turn heads and to just flat out have a good time. Stepping into the end of 8 years involved deeply in the scene, I've began to see more of the Bills in our industry coming to form. Everyone should really step back and use them as an example of how to really get our foremost hobby/life brought to all new heights. Bill is the type of guy who is more then willing to help someone with suspension or body drop questions and offer advice when needed. These are the type of people that first grabbed my attention and brought my total devotion to the scene. So lets keep it real, help each other out and make new friends from sea to shinning sea. Welp, my flight is getting ready to leave me and I don't feel like getting stuck in Phoenix for a few more hours sooo….. Till next month, believe in the scene and the scene will believe in you!Garrick Arends"remember it… write it down… take a picture… I don't give a…..uhhh… nevermind."
