For the past year, I’ve noticed that in the Prohopper booth there was the baddest body dropped Ranger that I have ever seen. But as you get closer, you begin to see what usually blows peoples mindswhen they see it. In the bed of the truck you notice many things. The suspension and frame is by far the main thing that stands out. The suspension is basically a 3-link set up with a drag link. The floating rear cross-member, which is 3 linked, and a pair of shackled trailing arms that the coils ride on. As far as the frame goes, Ryan had boxed and shaved over 70 holes in the factory frame.

Smoothed out, the frame is definitely bad ass. But that isn’t the part that stands out the most. After prepped, Ryan spent about three days grinding the whole frame with a disk grinder and 80 grit paper. After getting the effect he wanted and felt comfortable with, the frame was then sprayed with House of Kolor candy paint followed by many coats of clear. Ryan would like to thank those of Prohopper for the hydraulic setup which was all installed by Totally Polished of Moorpark, CA. While at Totally Polished, Ryan decided to have them go ahead with a 4 ½-inch body drop.

To complement the detailed framework, The next step had to be the body. To accomplish this feat Ryan turned to Class n’ Color of Canego Park, CA for help. There are things that just had to go, and that was an easy list for Ryan to compile. One of the first and most obvious was to replace the door handles with some sheet metal. Liking what was coming out of this, he decided to go ahead and remove the gas filler door and relocate it inside the bed. For Ryan this just wasn’t enough, so bed seams along with the taillights were also removed. After these items were complete, Ryan decided to have the tailgate shaved and welded shut. Now that the Ranger was smoothed out and all the lines flowed perfectly, it was time to spray the paint. The color of choice was House of Kolor Kandy Tangerine.
