Village creek festival is a local fair and car show just right outside of Beaumont in a town Lumberton. I road with a local car club Shattered images out of Beaumont, Texas to the show that was being held at a Lumberton school parking lot. We arrived around 11am to the show grounds with a few rides already there and a full on fair already taking place. A fair at a car show was a little different then what I was usually accustom to but it was actually fun. After looking at a few rides we went and tried our luck at the fair games and of course the house always wins! They had a hit a car with a sledgehammer for 50 cents a wack, which was my favorite and was funny to see my friends take wacks at it. Around 2pm it begun to become Heatwave like hot and we were getting hungry, so we got some good ole fashion Cajun food from some of the fair ground vendors and some drinks (non alcoholic, because well this was held at a school parking lot). The day had ended at the awards ceremony had just finished, it was a very good turn out with probably close to 100 good quality cars and trucks and good amount of some Texas gals. It was a good ole local show that I would be happy to go to again next year. Fish
