With building a Minitruck around a VW theme, Brent and his dad would get set on a VW 2387cc motor. Having a wide variety of product to be added to such an engine the choice would be to start off with a Gene Burg crankshaft, Corella rods and a Crane camshaft. Next a set of Total Seal rings and a lightened fly wheel where installed.

The engine would be set up as an air cooled system along with an oil cooler. The engine would then be ported and polished with a 3-angle valve job to help things along. Custom manifolds would then be built by Lyle along with custom headers with a jet coated finish. Lyle would utilize an exhaust diameter of 1 5/8’s for that perfect exhaust system for the VW engine.
