It was that time of year again, time to drag that ride of yours out from whatever shop, paint booth or car port it has been collecting dust under and spend the next few days cleaning and looking over everything you hadn’t finished from the winter. Yes that meant it was Dustoff, the most anticipated show of the beginning of the year. The guys have thrown another great show and this year we didn’t have to battle the weather. Hell this year Explicit Concepts didn’t cause thousands of dollars worth of damage so that is an act of god by itself.
This year was a little different for me; I had the joy of waking up late, NOT loading my wagon into the trailer and NOT having to worry about cleaning a dang thing but myself. There is nothing better than going to a show and truly being able to enjoy the show and sit down and talk with friends and not be bothered or stressed out dealing with a vehicle. Maybe that comes from to many years of showing but that is enough about that, let’s talk about the show.
After I got settled down I met up with some of the guys and we started walking around the show. I think the reason I enjoy covering shows is I get a chance to see everyone and hang out and find out what my friends have been up to. This show is wonderful for that, laid back, lots of fun and a never ending supply of barbed wire. Ough did I mention it is next to the pen, lol. And let’s talk about all the pit bulls that were on hand, did they take club participation this year. That will give you an idea of how laid back it is.
Come out next year, bring the family, bring the dog, hell bring anyone you want cause there is something for everyone. Dustoff brings out your local low riders, some gorgeous mini trucks, those annoying rice burners (just kidding see what I drive if you got butt hurt), and some bad ass hot rods. Until next show, get out there and HAVE FUN.
