When it comes to the show industry amongst the import world, one cannot help but mention Hot Import Nights, or better known as HIN. I've been fortunate enough through out the past 3 years to attend this spectacular event in the Southern California area, but this would be my first trip up north to the rainy city of Seattle, Washington. When we first arrived in the Seattle area the weather was pretty much crap combined with a little wind, rain and cold. Luckily for us Hot Import Nights is an indoor event so we had dressed light not to get hot with the millions of bodies located inside. After bypassing the long lines, we worked our way up front to get our press passes. While in line I managed to bump into Erick from Live Sockets Entertainment and we shot the shit while moving along in our fast paste short line. Once inside I left the camera in the bag while we scooped out the show to see how we would decide on shooting it. With the show walked and the crowd filing in the decision was to start shooting before there were to many people and not enough room for the camera. There were plenty of venders in attendance showing off their new rides, products and hot girls in there clothing. Vendors set up around the show where companies such as Audiobahn, APC, Meguiars, Toyo along with many others. While out and about I managed to run into a long time friend Mike Shartsis of Euro Tuner magazine. With a few hours behind us, the crowd was unbearable so the camera was put away and we just walked around talking with vendors and checking out new products. One of the products that stuck to mind would be the flamed amplifiers and chrome baskets for the new line of subs made by Audiobahn.

The over all representation of the show was great and there were lots to do to occupy your time. In each building there where about 6 different DJ's strutting their stuff along with teams of break dancers showing their latest moves. With HIN being nation wide now, I'm looking forward to covering many more of their shows and enjoying every minute of them.Ted Day Jr.Freelance Photographer
