What a name for a car show, "Farm Fest". I love it. Everyone involved with the Floridian mini truck and lowrider community knew that this show was going to be fun. To add to the craziness, the show was held at a parking lot, not a farm. Yeah, I am not ready to drive the car over cow patties. The show also did have some unique awards to be given out. The best truck and car would get some sweet billet trophies that Tom from Billet and Acrylic made. The Best Of's, would get some acrylic trophies that would light up. Damn nice trophies for a show called Farm Fest. Oh , almost for got the winners of their class would get either a cock, pig, or if you were in the wilder classes you would receive a bull ornament on the top of your trophy. Also for the poopiest car/truck, you could be awarded the cow patty award, but it was not given out. Nice……. I think someone chickened out on giving that out. Not naming any names……………Jay Church. The morning started a little dreary with some serious rain. The whole trip to Vero Beach rained with out stopping. To add to the crappy morning I decided to drive the car and not trailer it. What the hell was I thinking!!!!!! I should have known, it's my luck to want to drive my car, and it rains. Once getting into Vero we met up with Tom with the cheetahfied blazer. He was tailoring his truck, which was not a good thing. First of all he almost rear-ends a friend of ours and then after the show he got a flat on one of the trailer tires. I guess it was all worth it, after he got the Best truck award. The day cleared up for the show and it turned out to be a killer event. Some sweet rides showed up. Marlon from Acrophobia brought his clean S-10 to win the Best Engine award. Other badass rides include the New Movement '64 Impala and Bruce's badass Isuzu from Local Minis. The show was a definite blast. I had fun all day long. The trophy ceremony was hysterical, with all the goofing around that went on. Make sure that this is a show to hit next year, so keep looking on the SSM event calendar for the dates.Eddie MedelNegative Camber
