With thousands of people wrapped around a building anxiously waiting to get in, a curious onlooker may start to wonder what is worth a 2 hour wait. The answer is Hot Import Nights, the import show presented by Vision Entertainment, and established as the place to be for the biggest and best of the import scene. The San Mateo show didn't disappoint, as over 300 cars were present to compete for the coveted awards of "Best of Class". Vehicles ranged from the commonly upgraded Civics, Accords, Eclipses, and Celicas, to more exotic Skylines, Supras, M3s, and RX7's. Typical mods included tricked out paint jobs, body kits and wheels, and awesome sound systems, but it takes a lot more than the average upgrades to take home an award at Import Nights. Jeff Famely showed what it takes to win as he cleaned up shop with wins of "Best of Show", "Hottest Undercarriage", "Hottest Honda", and best "2 Door Wild" with his prized Honda Civic. With the combination of a custom paint job, body work, wheels, suspension, interior, and of course a killer stereo Jeff shows that it takes a complete package to be recognized as the best of Import Nights. In addition to the vehicles presented by entrants, Hot Import Nights also provides an opportunity to view the latest creations of the aftermarket manufactures with some of their best shows cars and latest products on display. Competing for the largest booths were Toyo Tires, APC, and Meguiar's. Of the three, Toyo had the most traffic, possibly caused by the hot new Toyo girl signing posters and taking pictures. As well as being a showcase for the hottest cars around, Import Nights is also notorious for having the hottest models around. Ichibahn and sister company Audiobahn didn't fail in this category as their booth not only featured trick customized vehicles, but also touted import regulars Natasha Yi, Cheri Roberts, and Cathy Shim, as well as newcomers Noelani Chase and Mercedes Monroe.

The www.SpeedImage.com booth is also worth mentioning, as their models left little to the imagination with their outfits. New to Hot Import Nights this year is the Import Tuner model search, which offers anyone a chance to be the next Tuner Cover girl, with a personal photo shoot and online voting.
