One day back in 1998 the decision was made to find a Chevy Caprice to work on and introduce to the show scene. This vision was one of Jeremy and Erika Hefner of Chandler, Arizona. The reason for wanting to build a Caprice was simple: to Jeremy it was the last possible street rod with the new generation of customizers. After countless attempts at finding what they wanted to build, a sad moment within their family left them with an attempt to make the spirits happy. Erika's grandmother who had just passed away owned the car in question. Coming from a farm in Minnesota, the drive would be a long one back to Arizona. The car was a 1993 Chevy Caprice and was offered to Jeremy since he had been looking for one for the past 6 months. To help bring the car to its new found home, Jeremy's parents made the long drive back to Mesa where the project would soon get on its way to show status.
