As with any ride, stopping is essential. But with a beast of a machine like this, it becomes more of a must than normal. To ensure stopping and turning ability with the 16.5x14 Outback Weld racing wheels, snuggled in 44x18.5 Denman Tire Super Swampers, Craig would turn to Aeroquip for help. To help manage this task, Aeroquip steel braided brake hoses and Boyce Equipment hydraulic steering lines were installed. Keeping the clean look underneath, Jim McGill at Ranch Muffler & Truck Accessories of Temecula, California was called upon to do the plumbing for the lines. To provide a few other touches of eye candy to the undercarriage, Craig contacted the crew from Street Glow Neon. You can find purple neon throughout Craig's Excursion, along with a touch of purple neon behind the grille. Karvision's of Temecula, California provided the wiring for the neon. If you look close enough, you can also find Craig's Grover Air Horn, providing heart attacks for the elder generation. MGM also supplied a set of plexi-glass mud flaps for an added twist to this custom.

Now that the undercarriage was complete, it was time to work the engine and ignition system. For starters, Craig contacted Optima and acquired three orange top Optima batteries, one for the motor compartment and the other two for the bitchin' stereo. To help keep current flowing, a Powermaster high output alternator was installed. With that out of the way, it was time to let the engine breath. This was accomplished by installing a 4-inch Gibson performance cat-back system, complete with muffler. The exhaust was also ceramic coated by Olympic coating. To give the engine a bit of style, Cool Flex radiator hoses, along with Tech Flex hoses were utilized.
