Back in November of 1997 Brian Martin decided it was time to try something new. He had already been into the car audio and import racing scenes and now decided it was time to build a ride purely for show. With a four-door Acura Integra in mind, he turned to his friends in Tuscon, AZ who just happen to work at the Honda/Acura dealership for help. What he did not know is that he would be getting an already peppy import that would lead him towards another race-inspired ride. His friends happened to have one left and gave him the homie hook-up on a White 1997 Acura Integra four-door GSR-L. First thing to know is that Brian used to be a pretty hardcore racer. After actually acquiring his new import he had big plans, and they all involved going fast. Brian first installed a set of Koni Adjustable Struts and Nuespeed Race Springs to stiffen up the ride and give it a low stance. After getting the suspension where he wanted it, wheels and tires were ready to be bolted on. Keeping with the race look, he decided to go with 17 inch Racing Hart Tracers with Yokohama A510’s. Having his eye on these wheels for sometime made it a little easier to shell out the duckets to afford them. He was well on his way for the racing look he was wanting. After several months went by, the upcoming show season was upon him. It was time to add a new face to the four-door racer. Spring Splash '98 was coming up and Brian had been talking about the Type-R front end since before the purchase of the soon to be show stopping Integra. So he decided to go for it. Brian purchased the JDM Type-R front bumper, fenders, grille and headlights about three weeks before the run.

The parts arrived only five days before he was supposed to leave. By wednesday night the new front end was completed and he was ready to head out the next morning. Brian's Integra was bad ass, but no one knew what the hell it was! Some people thought it was an Accord, others an Integra with old Integra headlights or possibly BMW headlights. Needless to say, it caught the attention of everyone around him. The rest of 1998 brought the additions of the “Go Fast Goodies". An AEM Intake, Greddy 4-2-1 header with HPC coating along with a Greddy sp muffler connected to 2 ¼” tube were installed to give Brian's Integra a little more power. Coolflex radiator hose, along with Earls fittings and steel braided lines were also added for looks. The factory clutch was replaced with an ACT street/strip clutch. An ACT HD pressure plate was also installed. Brian's friends at SRD hooked him up will all the "go fast" goodies he could handle, including a monster tach. Around the same time, Brian decided it was time to swap out the Neuspeed springs with Ground Control Coilovers. For the rest of 1998 it was time to start saving the duckets for either a turbo or supercharger kit. After all, if you are going to be serious about racing, you have got to do something to get the speed, right? Then things started to change. One morning while waking up it hit him. He became more concerned with the looks of his ride rather then the speed of it. The local police also had a influence in this since they were cracking down on the illegal racing scene and killing the fun of it. So the decision was to move towards the show route.
