When you own a customizing shop, it's always a good idea to have a car that will represent what kind of parts and service you have to offer. That's exactly what Peter Schipani from Greenville, South Carolina did. He is the owner of Meanstreet Motorsports, both the Greenville, South Carolina and Asheville, North Carolina stores. (Look in the February, 2004 Import SSM issue for a tour of the Asheville store) Peter originally bought this 1999 Honda Civic Si for a drag strip car but once he had it at the shop, plans changed a bit. He decided to build the car without dumping a huge amount of money into it, this would show his customers what they can achieve with just a few mods and a little bit of money. Having access to any aftermarket part he wanted, it only took four weeks from start to finish to get the car how you see here.
