Billy decided that the factory 59' straight six and three speed on the column just wouldn't cut it, so it was ditched in favor of a Chevy 350 TPI motor and a 700R4 tranny. To get rid of spend gasses the new 350 TPI might expel a set of Flowmaster 40 series mufflers were installed.
Once the new motor and tranny were in place Billy didn't want to bake in the Louisiana bayou so he decided that the Apache needed to have cold A/C. The solution for this problem was to install the factory air that was once installed in the 88' donor truck.

For steering comfort the steering column and steering wheel of the 88' donor were then used. To take the altitude out of the Apache and add attitude Bell-tech components were added in the form of a 5/7-drop. Billy didn't want to stop there with the mix of retro so Billy opted for a set of 15' red steelie wheels wrapped in chrome beauty rings. To keep the rubber to the road a set of 205/70/15 skins were added to the always in style steelie's.
