Once again Vital Signs has pulled off one of my favorite shows of the year. It never fails thought that right before this show everything breaks loose at work and there is a possibility I will have to miss this show. This year was no different my company scheduled corporate meetings in Nashville the week of the show that would not put me back into Memphis till late Friday evening. We finally left Memphis, TN at 9:30pm Friday night in-route to Panama City Beach, FL. We no more got out of Tennessee when Mother Nature unleashed a furry or rain and otherwise crappy weather that followed us till we arrived in Florida. But that was not going to stop us one bit. What should have been an eight hour drive ended up taking ten. We arrived Saturday morning to greet the president and founder of Vital Signs Doug Augustine and the entire Vital Signs crew as they were setting up everything at the show grounds. We quickly said our hellos and let them know we would be back later after a shower and some shuteye. By the time I made my way back to the Frank Brown Park there were already completely full. This was the largest turn out of entries I've ever seen in my years of attending Spring Fling. With well over 500 entries I quickly broke out the camera and made my way around the show ground taking pics of the awesome collection of rides on hand. As the evening wore on I set up two vehicles that were definitely worthy of gracing SSM as features. It wasn't long after we were done with the shooting that my stomach started begging for some grub. With some plans to grab some dinner with Truckin's Travis Novak and Mini Truckin's Justin Cross we were off to find dinner. We decided to meet up with the crew from Mini Madness at this seafood buffet restaurant for dinner. Well let's just say I thought we were going to get kicked out for eating "WELL" over our share of food. That dude Travis can pack away some groceries. As soon as we were done we slowly made our way to the local packy and proceeded to purchase the adult beverages that we were going to consume over the course evenings back at the hotel. It wasn't long till we were all whooped and decided to call it a night.

Sunday morning the awesome weather we had the day before was not going to be in our favor today. The weather was horrible. We made our way to the show grounds to find that even thought rain had set in the grounds were still packed with entries. We made our rounds finishing up on any pixs that I might have missed Saturday. It wasn't long till we said our good byes and the extended thanks for the crew having us back to shoot Spring Fling this year. As we left I began to think of the years past of my trips to Panama City Beach and the Spring Flings I've attended over the years and I assure you this is one show I will be attending next year. It truly is one of my favorite shows of the year. Special thanks to the entire crew for having me back again this year and I hope to see yall again next year.Photos and text by:Ben HusserSSM: Laynbdy
