Located in the lavish lifestyles of Las Vegas, Stylefest had some promise with some phat rides and killer Import drag cars. As we showed up at the event early Saturday after an 8 hour drive the previous night, we were ready to get on the ball with coverage and get in some racing events. Unfortunately Mother Nature had other things in store for us. With the wind kicking in, the storms were approaching rapidly and the rain was beginning but light. After getting checked in for Press and getting our camera vests in order to get down on the track for some pictures we decided to get some pics of the crew's out and about for the weekends events before the crowds would arrive Sunday. Lucky for us we did this instead of being lazy and waiting. With the rain kicking in the decision was to go back down on the strip and get something to eat and waste some money on the machines and tables. With our wallets emptying out and the alcohol seeping in it was time to call it a night. The next day we got up and got ready and too much of what we anticipated as the rain was steady. Knowing the show was probably canceled we headed out to the speedway anyhow just to see what was up. There were still plenty of show rides that had left their rides there the night before along with many that had shown up but were just talking to others so I took the camera out and decided to take some shots. As a rained out event I managed to get plenty of coverage to give you an Idea of what is to be expected of this event. You bet your ass I'll be back next year with hopes of sunshine in order to capture the true nature of this beast.By Garrick ArendsGarrick@StreetSource.com
