The East Coast Bowling Nationals is the type of event I look forward to each and every year. Held at Chackos Bowling Center in Wilkes Barre, PA for its second year now the event seems to get better and better each year. This year was no exception to that. I got out of work around 2pm on Saturday and headed home to pack a small bag for the trip up to PA. We got up to the hotel around 7pm and checked into our room. After about 2 hours and a couple of beers it was time for us to head down to the bowling center.As usual there was a short line waiting at the door. Upon entering the place was already packed, seemed like there where double the people this year than last year. Some of the clubs that were there are Cali Style, East Coast Minis, Relaxed Atmosphere, Altered Obsessions, Low Rollers, Subculture, Creative Style, Made 2 Envy, and Grounded 4 Life. I know there where a few more that there are probably pictures of but I forgot, the end of the night was a little blurry for all of us. The cops at the event were cool as usual taking time out of patrolling to arrest a few people for the camera, and even pose for the camera. The Low Rollers guys had some DVD’s from there show playing all night as well as Brad from Concrete Video who had a booth set up selling DVDs.As you can see from the pictures it was a pretty crazy night. A lot of the pictures that where taken I didn’t even realize until I got home how bad in fact they where. Like the most famous one of the night would have to be of the man bearing it all which I was forced to submit by everybody that witnessed it. Good ol’ Huppie, all I remember hearing was “I’m going to take the picture in my boxers” then next thing I know I’m snapping the picture and I see Poop running away laughing. I didn’t even realize until later that night that Poop actually ran up behind Huppie and pantsed him…. All in all I think everybody was just a bit drunk and nobody really cared what went on. With the huge turnout this year I can only expect this event to grow bigger and bigger each year, and Chacko’s has been begging for the event to continue each year. Shit beer, mini truckers, did I say beer?, and bowling, what more could you ask for?

Like most of the shows I went to this year and the end of last year I got to meet a lot of the SSM members that I talk to online in person. It was great meeting everybody, and seeing everybody again. The bowling nats is a great get together for the mini truckin community to get together and chill as one in the winter when there is no time, or warm weather for us to get together for any shows. Rumor has it that the whole 3rd floor of the Econo Lodge was forced to leave by the hotel management and the police but I have yet to fully conform all the rumors. Something to do with loud noise, drunken mini truckers, and peeing in an ice machine?
