Oh where to begin? This years Blooddrag was truly unforgettable with entirely to much that went on to discuss in this write up so I’ll break it down into some highlights of the weekend.1st – Upon my arrival into Orlando, Troy would pick me up in his ’62 Impala convertible. We’d mob back to his pad and from there get some grub and go out with a few other friends. Some how through out the night Selena (Troy’s wife) and I drank a few (nobody really knows) Apple Martini’s and lived to regret it the next morning. As Troy cranked the music the next morning to get me out of bed it would take a few hours of head pounding bass before deciding to get up and shower and pack for the drive up to Live Oak. Once we got on the road I would be driving the Impala while Selena was passed out in the back of the Lincoln with Tony driving and Troy mobbing the Crown Vic. We’d arrive into Live Oak just before dark and the cold.2nd – After finding our rooms and getting dressed for the colder weather we found ourselves in we’d check out the other hotels and meet up with a bunch of friends. We’d then meet up with a few people that knew the local hang out so we’d head out on our adventure to the locals. To much of our surprise the locals we meet up with where very cool, friendly and kinda hilarious. A couple of Live Oaks finest would then approach the group and have many of us weary until we were told they were cool cops so we would decide to hang out. And oh what a decision that was! Over the next few hours we’d watch Kool Laid get tazed in the ass while we’d watch John O’neil sneak into a cop car only to find himself tazed not once, not twice but three times through out the night! Funny shit right there…. Many other hilarious activities would take place but we were asked not to mention them so you’ll just have to watch Domination the Video when the new DVD is released… lolOh yeah and other notables that night would be buying Walmart completely out of beer along with mittens and sweatshirts cause it was so damn cold… lol 3rd – As the day of the show arrived I’d hitch a ride with Pops and Oliver for some good ol’ McDee’s and we’d then head out to the show. Upon our arrival the lines where already long and the show was already packed with good quality rides from one end of the run way to the other. You wouldn’t think it would be much walking but damn those straight lines are deceiving!

We’d get our gear together and begin covering the show on our way to one end of the strip to do features. Lucky for me that Douggie was just arriving at the show so he could help with features and ensure all show coverage was taken.As the day grew dark we’d head to town for some grub and a quick shower before heading back to the strip for the drag session. The first 3 out of the gate lite up the night with some impressive drags while there would be a few weak ones rolling through before Eddie letting loose and having them go one right after another for a good ending to a long day.4th – The post party! The locals where nice enough to invite us to their kegger they where throwing. After rolling in about 50 deep we’d help float 3 or so kegs and have a ton of fun. The DJ from the show also brought out his equipment and set up shop to supply us with great tunes while Douggie’s buddy from Long Island did some free style rap to much of our surprise. All in all I’ve gotta say some of the coolest locals at a show to date and it would be hard to match although we’d like other locals to challenge it. JAll in all this years Blooddrag was a great success as far as the participants went. As for numbers you’ll have to ask Eddie although it had to be pretty concistant as there was a large number of rides, but a little low on spectators, but what do you expect having a show in the middle of now where compared to a big city.Good show, good job, can’t wait till next year!Text by GarrickPhotos by Garrick and DougParty photos by...
