Well its that time of year again to take that 10 minute drive to Dallas market hall for the annual Autorama. This year is a lil different though! I am actually showing my truck for the first time since we tore it down 16 months ago. I did not think this day was ever going to get here. Thursday was a hassle like it is every move in day. You get to the show early just so you can sit there and wait till the officials let you in and once you are in everyone is talking to you while you are trying to set up your display and clean your truck, but it is all worth it, right? As the day was coming to an end and the displays were set up it was time to grab some grub, and head to the house because some of us have to work the next day. After a long day at my 9 to 5 job I headed back down to the show to catch my first glimpse of the complete show. The show was about the same as it is every year, old hot -rods and new vettes and mustangs. Seeing all this makes me wonder why in the hell did I dump all this money in an old truck when I could have went out and bought a brand new car cleaned it up and called it a show car. Now don't get me wrong there where several nice vehicles there including the "Chicane" built by Troy Trepanier. Once the lights when out Friday night a group of us headed down to the local hooters to complete our buzz's and fill our stomachs. As I woke up Saturday morning I realized that work sucks and I drank too much the night before. After cutting out of work early I headed back down to the show to start taking pictures and drink more beer. Event wise on Saturday they had their legendary burnout competition along with various bikini shows preformed by the Texas bikini team. Vendor wise was about the same as every other show you go to vinyl guys here, toy sales over there, blah blah blah. But for people that really wanted to buy stuff Killer Ridez, Sachse Rod Shop and Nevis Accessories were all on hand to sale you some cool stuff, also if you wanted some Phat ass dually wheels, Brent had his large array of wheels on sight. Walking around the show got tiring and I was tired of watching little punk kids jumping on my display so it was time to do the norm, go to hooters and get drunk.

Sunday flew bye pretty quick I had the chance to meet a lot of new people and watch some fine looking women walk bye the Killer Ridez booth before the awards where giving out and it was time for us to pack up and head out. I would like to thank the Dallas Mopar Club for the Press passes, hopefully when the Autorama comes to your town you will have the chance to experience the great fun I did…and remember ladies "It doesn't suck it self"Chas NicholsBagdpyro@aol.comSSM-pyro
