Blood Drag
Blood Drag
I managed with the help of Jr and John from Tailgate and the Xtreme Lowz "Blood Drag Bitch" Heather, who took care of me, getting me the food and drink that I so desired. (thanks Heather) The bikini contest got the crowd motivated with nine hot ladies doing their thing for the eagerly anticipating crowd. In the end, Immet was crowned the champ and Eddy quickly switched in the awards ceremony mode. The Street Source Magazine Editor's Choice trophy was presented to Karen Abitabilo and her 1997 Honda Civic from the Slammin' Customs booth, also a major sponsor for the Blood Drag this year. After trophies were handed out, I said farewell to all the people I was fortunate enough to see again and the people I had the pleasure of meeting and watched as the grounds quickly thinned until no one was left. The show was now officially over.
Monday Colleen from Relaxed Atmosphere picked me up from my hotel and we met up with a few rides that I had lined up to shoot features with. We hung out for most of the day laughing and cutting up and then Craig from AON Customs took a few of us out for dinner. Shaun Ross and myself headed back over to the XL-Party Pad and hung out until the early hours again before I went back to my hotel and crashed.
Tuesday, Eddy picked me up, we ran around for several hours and I said my last goodbyes to my Florida friends and family. I hopped aboard my 767 bound for Nashville that afternoon, knowing I had spent what I'm sure will one of the best weeks of my year in 2002.
Blood Drag 2002 proved its place in as one of the best shows on the east coast again this year. Eddy Cebreco and his Xtreme Lowz crew, with the backing of AON Customs, Slammin' Customs, Drop 'Em Wear and Line-X threw one great show and one helluva party. Mark your calenders and be there in 2003.
