After Freakfest Javier’s mind was made up, it was time to air ride the car, but which company to go with? After lots of shopping, Javier ended up giving Zack & Richard at EAI a call and out in the mail was his air ride setup. Once it had arrived, the crew at My Garage Customs in Bakersfield, Ca. ripped out the old suspension and started bolting in the new stuff. Instead of normal coils and struts, the crew installed EAI’s new X-Air Cylinders along with EAI’s 3/8 in. two way valves, which is all controlled by an EAI chrome air controller.

The system was when plumbed with ½ in. line with check valves at every corner to ensure no sudden drops in pressure. To keep a constant watch on his air supply, the crew installed two EAI air gauges in the pockets that use to house the middle air conditioning vents. The air is stored in a 5 gallon tank mounted behind the rear seats and is filled by one Viair 450C compressor and one Thomas compressor mounted underneath the car. All of which was done along with adding a set of billet motorcycle mirrors mounted to custom mounting plates by My Garage. All of which was in anticipation of arriving at Resolutions 2005 ready to drop jaws.

Although, an emergency came up so the car wasn’t able to make the trip to Resolutions 2005, but sure does drop jaws everywhere it goes. If it isn’t the extreme graphics that catch your eye, it is certainly the overall clean appearance of the car that stands out in my mind. Javier would like to thank Fernando Salinas of Salinas Paint and Body, My Garage Customs for the killer install, EAI/ Hack Shack for the air setup, and all his fellow club members of Freaks of Nature. I think we all have learned that….. Payback can be a bitch!
