The short, three-month project began with a few suspension tweaks to sit Chad's Chevy a tad closer to terra firma. Trikin' Out Truks decided to handle the task themselves, but with the professional guidance of Ekstensive Metalworks of Houston, Texas. Beginning in the rear, a custom step-notch was cut into the frame to allow the axle plenty of travel room. The stock leaf springs were ditched and in their place, a custom 2-link system, with panhard bar, help keep the factory rear-end in place. In the front, spindles from Belltech were utilized to drop the front of Chad's Chevy, before airbags were installed in the front and rear, allowing Chad the adjustable suspension he desired.

Ekstensive Metalworks ½" Herion valves and line allows Chad's Chevy to go from below sea level to nose bleed with a touch of a button. To help smooth the ride on the bumpy Texas roads, Belltech Nitro shocks were installed in the rear, while KYB shocks keep things smooth in the front.

With the suspension modifications complete, Chad next turned his focus to the exterior of his Silverado, with the help of Krause's Collision of Houston, Texas. The smooth stance of Chad's Chevy called for a smooth appearance overall, so Krause's went to work shaving unnecessary items beginning with the door handles and tailgate handle.
